Oberlo - a dropshipping app for Shopify, is discontinued

Oberlo, a dropshipping app for Shopify that allowed full integration with AliExpress, announced they are stopping work on the 15th of June 2022. The startup was created in 2015 in Lithuania, soon started gaining popularity, and was acquired by Shopify in 2017 for around 15 million dollars.

On the 12th of May 2022, the app was removed from the Shopify store, so no new users could install it and create new accounts. The existing accounts with active subscriptions keep working until the 15th of June. All the users received recommendations to migrate the historical data (including orders, settings, products, and so on) to another app. Shopify team created an automated solution to migrate the data to the DSers app, which has the same set of core features. Still, if users decide to switch to any other alternative, they’ll have to migrate data manually.

All the users who had active subscription plans will get automatic refunds (if they were billed on Oberlo) or Shopify app credits (if they were billed on Shopify). However, it is still possible to terminate the subscription earlier.
